With refineries constructed in Warri, Kaduna and Port Harcourt, it is involved in the production, marketing, refining and transportation of both oil and gas related substances. It also has subsidiaries like NPDC, NGC, PPMC, IDSL, NETCO, HVSON, KRPC, PHRC, NNPC retail, Duke Oil. It is also regulated by the DPR a department within the Ministry of Petroleum Resources.
