Exxon set to sign Africa’s largest LNG project


The Mozambique government has revealed the intentions of Exxon Mobil to sign an investment decision for a liquefied natural gas project is likely to cost $33 billion to build, which would be the largest in Africa.

 The Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy released a statement on Saturday confirming that an official ceremony is to take place today at Maputo, which happens t0o be the capital of the southeast African nation, the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy said in a statement Saturday.

“We look forward to progressing the Rõuma LNG project and working with the government to maximize the long-term benefits that this project will bring,” said an Exxon official.
